The Century is a 42-story, 481-foot condominium skyscraper in Century City, completed in 2009 and designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects — the 2011 Driehaus Prize winner. Developed by Related Companies on the former site of the St. Regis Los Angeles, the building contains 140 residences set within a private four-acre landscaped enclave on Avenue of the Stars. Units feature private elevator vestibules, fireplaces, generous balconies, and grand master suites with spa-like bathrooms. Amenities include a 75-foot pool with spa and cabanas, a fitness center with Pilates and yoga studio, a screening room, a wine cellar, and a children's play area. The building is one of the tallest residential towers in Los Angeles and is among the city's most prestigious addresses, with notable former and current residents including Rihanna, Denzel Washington, Candy Spelling, and Paula Abdul. The penthouse — purchased by Candy Spelling in 2008 — spans the top two floors at approximately 16,500 square feet.
