Originally constructed in the mid-1920s, 939 S Broadway was once home to the Western Costume Co., which was responsible for 99% of the costume business in the burgeoning film industry. The building's Renaissance Revival architecture has been preserved on the exterior, while the interiors have been entirely renovated to accommodate a modern, urban lifestyle. 939 S Broadway retains its distinct time and place as part of the National Register of Historic Places "Broadway Theatre and Commercial District."
