Built in 1910 the Higgins building has been completely retrofitted to the highest of standards and has become the showcase of Adaptive Reuse projects in downtown Los Angeles. There are three new elevators in the building that have been finished in birdseye maple and stainless steel. On the upper floors, the original elevator furniture is still in place. Every floor retains its marble hallways and newly polished ties and many of the lofts still have their original metal clad doors. The building 135 live/work lofts with large windows and high ceilings. On the Penthouse level, the units are two levels with a private roof deck area.
